Dr. Nancy Ferrel, Staff Physician

Dr. Nancy Ferrel comes to the West Side Family Health District with a wealth of personal and professional experience. Born and raised in rural Nevada, she obtained her undergraduate degree from USC and her medical degree from the University of Nevada Reno-Las Vegas School of Medicine. She has worked in a variety of medical settings throughout the state of California, including rural health, primary care, occupational and workers compensation medicine, and urgent care. She is comfortable taking care of patients from newborn to the geriatric age group, including women’s health issues. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Ferrel is pleased to be able to focus on the overall healthcare needs of the entire community.

Heather Bosma, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Heather Bosma obtained a bachelor of science in nursing from Fresno State in 2005. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera and Cottage Children’s Hospital in Santa Barbara. After receiving her master of science in nursing and school nurse credential from California State University Bakersfield in 2010, she worked as the school nurse for Taft City Schools and Taft High School. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Western University of Health Sciences in 2013. Heather is dedicated to providing comprehensive health care and promoting healthy choices for individuals and the community.

Elizabeth White MSN, RN, FNP-C

Beth is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA;. she began her nursing career in 2011, working as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Beth holds both a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nursing from California State University, Bakersfield.

Beth is dedicated to serving the residents of West Kern County. She is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide array of conditions across the entire lifespan and believes in working collaboratively with each individual to achieve their best possible state of health.
