Dr. Timothy Lee, Medical Director and Staff Physician

Dr. Timothy Lee is a board certified pediatrician who has served as the Medical Director at the West Side Urgent Care Center since 2015.  Under his leadership, the practice has transitioned to become West Side Family Health Care District, a federally certified rural health clinic. Dr. Lee received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from Cornell University. In addition, he holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a focus on health care administration. Born in Vietnam and ethnically Cantonese, Dr. Lee grew up in Los Angeles. Dr. Lee’s passion is to make a difference in people’s health with a combination of medical and administrative expertise.

Dr. Nancy Ferrel, Staff Physician

Dr. Nancy Ferrel comes to the West Side Family Health District with a wealth of personal and professional experience. Born and raised in rural Nevada, she obtained her undergraduate degree from USC and her medical degree from the University of Nevada Reno-Las Vegas School of Medicine. She has worked in a variety of medical settings throughout the state of California, including rural health, primary care, occupational and workers compensation medicine, and urgent care. She is comfortable taking care of patients from newborn to the geriatric age group, including women’s health issues. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Ferrel is pleased to be able to focus on the overall healthcare needs of the entire community.

Heather Bosma, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Heather Bosma obtained a bachelor of science in nursing from Fresno State in 2005. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera and Cottage Children’s Hospital in Santa Barbara. After receiving her master of science in nursing and school nurse credential from California State University Bakersfield in 2010, she worked as the school nurse for Taft City Schools and Taft High School. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Western University of Health Sciences in 2013. Heather is dedicated to providing comprehensive health care and promoting healthy choices for individuals and the community.
